Learn to play hockey with elite college hockey players!

Margot Norehad, also known by her nickname “Gogo” grew up in Glencoe, Illinois where she first started ice skating at 4 years old. She has been hooked on hockey ever since. As a young girl, the nearby Watts Ice Arena, an outdoor rink, became her “Rink of Dreams.” 

Just one year after learning how to skate, her dad signed her up to play co-ed hockey with Winnetka Hockey Club. In 2012, Norehad was selected to play for the Winnetka Warriors, an all girls Tier 2, AA travel hockey team. By age 7, she was playing hockey, tennis, soccer, swimming and playing the violin. She has always excelled at sports and music, even earning the opportunity to play the violin at Carnegie Hall in New York.

Eventually, Norehad made the decision to commit to playing hockey and pursue her dream to play college hockey.

Norehad was part of the growth of the Girls hockey program at Winnetka, and the club eventually formed the Northshore Warhawks, an all girls travel and development program. During her three years with the team, she learned valuable lessons as a player and a person. She was part of the Warhawks team that went on to win several NIHL and State Championships and competed in Tier 2 Nationals.  After competing at the national level, she knew she would need to elevate her game to and try to play AAA hockey.
