Join college basketball star and type 1 diabetic, Cooper Farrall for a fun and exciting basketball camp this summer! Cooper will host two sessions of his camp on August 1st at the US Pullman Community Center in Chicago.
Session 1 will be a by invitation only event for athletes and families who are living with type 1 diabetes. This session is for boys and girls ages 8-16.
As part of session 1, Cooper will host a 30-minute presentation about what it's like to be an athlete living with type 1 diabetes. He will talk about the challenges he has faced and how he handles his nutrition to compete at the highest level. He will also provide samples of snacks and products he uses. Parents are encouraged to watch the camp and attend the presentation, too!
Session 2 is open to the public for boys and girls ages 8-16 and is designed for the top players in the region to come learn from one of the top college basketball players in the country. Cooper plays at Bentley University where he was a First-Team All-Conference selection and led the team in scoring.
As part of session 2, Cooper will host a 30-minute presentation about what it takes to play college basketball, how to get recruited and talk about name, image and likeness partnerships and opportunities for high school and college athletes. Parents are encouraged to watch the camp and attend the presentation, too!
Each session will start with proper stretching techniques and basketball drills focusing on age and skill level coaching for shooting, passing, and defense. All camp attendees will receive a signed Cooper Farrall player card, and snacks he uses for his diabetes in game/trainings!

Cooper Farrall from Valparaiso, Indiana is a sophomore on the Bentley University men's basketball team. Cooper has become well-known for his ability to overcome the adversity of being a type 1 diabetic to play basketball at the highest level.
At 11 years old, Cooper was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. He says he never has known the feeling of playing basketball without diabetes so he uses that for perspective and motivation to inspire others.
