Maddie's Magic Skates Hockey Camp
Come to a hockey camp to learn from college hockey players and raise money for a great cause!
On August 21, 2026 youth hockey players from across Minnesota joined Maddie Brown and other Division 1 women's ice hockey players for a fun-filled one-day hockey camp to raise awareness and funds for Children's Minnesota and families living with cancer.
The camp started with registration at 8:30 a.m., with:
- Ice time from 9:00 to 10:00
- Dry land training from 10:00 to 12:00
- Ice time from 12:00 to 1:00
The cost of the one-day camp was $50 with proceeds benefiting Children's Minnesota.
The camp is part of Maddie's Magic Skates is a charitable fundraising and community initiative created by University of St. Thomas women's ice hockey player Madison Brown. It raises money and collects toys for the Cancer Kids Fund at Children's Minnesota to support patients and families battling cancer.
The initiative regularly partners with local Minnesota events to raise awareness and coordinate volunteer opportunities. Maddie and her teammates frequently visit the hospital to clean toys and host special events that bring joy to children undergoing treatment.

About Maddie
About Maddie Brown
Maddie Brown from Andover, Minnesota is a junior at the University of St. Thomas and is one of the top women's ice hockey players in the country.
Prior to the University of St. Thomas, Brown, played right wing on Andover's top line with Ella Boerger and Isa Goettl.
While spending only 2 years at Andover, she scored her 100th career point in her 56th career game. Prior to Andover, she scored 108 points in two years while playing high school hockey in North Dakota. More...
