As part of Pliable Camps, Cash McClure has created a scholarship program for young basketball players to apply for a camp scholarship for his basketball camp. The program is based on an essay submission and other information about the young basketball player and their family.
This is a an opportunity for young basketball players to have the opportunity to attend the Cash McClure Basketball Training Camp!
We want to hear from young athletes who love basketball, want to improve their game, and hope to use what they learn to inspire others.
Write an essay of approximately 600 words answering:
Your essay should be written in your own words and share your personal connection to basketball. Tell us what the game means to you, what you hope to accomplish in basketball and in the future, and why attending this camp would be a meaningful opportunity.

There will be up to two winners, one boy and one girls will each receive a spot at the Cash McClure Basketball Training Camp in 2027.
Each submission must include:
Essays will be reviewed by staff and Cash and be based on:
Passion for Basketball — How clearly the athlete communicates why they love the game.
Personal Goals — How attending the camp could help the athlete develop skills, confidence, leadership, and work toward future goals.
Sharing the Game — How the athlete plans to encourage friends and others to play, learn, and enjoy basketball.
Effort & Originality — The thought, creativity, and personal experiences included in the essay.

Entries received after the deadline may not be considered.
The essay should reflect the child’s own thoughts, experiences, and voice. Parents and guardians may help with spelling, grammar, or submitting the entry, but the ideas and content should come from the child.
By entering, the parent or guardian gives permission for their child to participate in the contest and, if selected, attend the Cash McClure Basketball Training Camp. Any required camp registration forms and waivers must be completed on the day of camp before participation.
